Batalha das Quadras

Nike has been organizing “Batalha das Quadras” (“Sports Court Battle”) since 2008 – an open amateur soccer tournament conceived to promote sports among the new generations and reveal new talents.

BASE was responsible for developing a live coverage platform during the 3 days of artificial turf and beach soccer matches in Rio. By integrating Facebook actions through open graph for sharing of each athlete’s individual experience, the app allowed brand-mediated engagement between amateur teams and thousands of new virtual supporters.
